Slow day at work…

So, while I did close three loans this month (and almost thought I’d close another one this week), things have mostly slowed down for me at work. This is just fine because there are many project still do to. The last couple of hours, I’ve been killing time writing my thank you notes for the wedding! I’m so pleased because they will go out EARLIER than I thought!

I called escrow today and found out that while the terms Will wanted in the loan were cleared up, the lender is out of town this week on vacation. So, if the assistant is able to finalize things while he’s out, then we’ll be good to go early next week (I think that’s a safe bet). What’s funny is that the lady at the escrow company (even though she’s literally handling dozens of loans for this development) remembers me each time I’ve called. I hope that’s a good thing!

While Will is staining the floor and doing some of the construction jobs around the house, I’ve been trying to pack and get things together (as much as possible) for our move. It would help me tremendously to have at least our clothes at the new place ASAP. That way this crazy drive can stop!

It’s funny because our very busy and overworked attorney came over to my cube a second ago and saw my spread – thank you notes on one side and this blog entry on the screen. HMM! Where’s that BOSS button that one job search site (I’m blanking on the name at the moment) has? It would have been helpful!

One of the girls in my office has gone to Russia to adopt a couple of kids (I think they’re siblings). She’s there now and they just sent some pictures back. They got new toys, hair ribbons and lots of love by their new momma! Aren’t they the cutest?!
