The Update…
I finished the paper! Woo-hoo! 51 pages of text and several hand-outs and then 3 pages worth of a bibliography with notes on the books themselves…. I’m so relieved! One of my delights was to find Dietrich’s allows their customers to get on the web for FREE! So, I used the web to copy and paste Bible text to my paper (shh! Don’t tell anyone!). At night, after I got home and mostly ready for bed, I’d add the quotes/paragraphs from the resources to the Word document, so the next day, all I’d need to do was make it “flow” and add the Bible passages. But, even with those things in place, it wasn’t until Friday at 9:30 when I was able to e-mail the entire package to my professor! [It was officially due Friday by midnight.] And just to be sure, I copied myself and sent a second “I just sent you a large attachment” e-mail to my professor. That way, there’s no reason for him to say he didn’t receive it! WHEW!!!
Work has been busy. By the end of today, I will have closed three loans this week! My “trainer/adviser” was out most of this week, so we spent the last few weeks preparing for her absence and were surprisingly busy! It may seem strange after a year that I’d still be in training… Well, they saddled me with the most difficult states in the country, so I still need a good amount of input. =)
And on the house front, last night Will and I spent two and a half hours doing our walk thru. It wasn’t all business as we got to talk to the agent about the Lord and various other topics. Will was so cute! He called in the morning saying he’s very excited for our appointment … And then, he got caught up in traffic (there were two accidents on the 10 freeway between Rialto & Pomona. He said he was “crawling” for almost an hour!), so he wasn’t able to start with us… =( Poor guy! The things the contractors need to do are minor; replace a few tiles, reinstall a few windows, touch up on paint throughout the house & even outside… All in all, it’s gorgeous and very exciting!! At 6:45 last night, the escrow officer called to ask more questions about our transaction… Will has a couple of loose ends he’d like to tie up with the lender (which is just fine with me). So, all things being resolved, we should be closing by the end of next week! But, I’m still not holding my breath yet...
As far as our current house is concerned, we finally got the kitchen sink to work (there was something in there clogging it for a long time!), Will’s staining the wood in the entry way (which is proving to be a little bit of a challenge as The Big Dummy likes to tear through the house whenever he gets a chance and there is just no reasoning with him…). We still need to finish painting (ugh!), tiling and installing a window in the bathroom.
I can’t believe Monday is Christmas! I just can’t! Does it go away if I deny it? Oh, well. I guess I’ll just have to confess that I’m W-A-Y behind in everything – including Christmas! So sorry! Merry Christmas everyone!! And to all, a good Morning! =)
