Happy Monday!

I’m being totally sarcastic! I’m pooped!

There really isn’t anything big to report. I’ve been working on taking care of my husband (feeding, cleaning, laundry). He’s been working on taking care of us (house repairs). I had good intentions of doing my homework over the weekend, but I suppose in all honesty, I just didn’t want to. I was able to write the conclusion to Chapter 3 (of the 6) last night, which is still good progress! Tonight, I’ll be hanging out in town and working on the other chapters. Gotta stick with it!

We’re having Christmas cheer everywhere – my department wants to do a potluck and another lunch, the company is having a Christmas breakfast, our church is proposing two holiday celebrations (one to learn about the symbolism of Hanukah and the second is an all out Christmas potluck), then my old Taco Bell team will be getting together on the 17th… And of course, then there’s the BIG day (and Eve) festivities! No wonder people gain weight!!

We had a big scare of the weekend. Will’s brother called to say that he hasn’t been able to get a hold of their dad for days. His brother started poking around and found out that their dad had been hospitalized in Florida and nobody knew why, the cell phone company said the last phone call he made was 5 days ago from Houston and something about a hitch-hiker. That his father would take a trip across the country isn’t totally unusual, but the other pieces caused us alarm. After church, Will made a ton of phone calls and I went to run some errands. While I was out, he called to tell me that his uncle said that dad had crossed the border from TX and something was wrong with his phone. We still have some questions about the hospital, but at least he’s safe!! WHEW!!

TTFN!
