Flyin' and Full Speed Ahead
Almost Christmas.... Too much food already!! So much to be thankful for!
I'm just checking in because I know that I'll be out for a long time. We leave for Israel the 27th and I'm excited. I left a sticky note on the map at work showing where I'd be if anyone needs me... I doubt they'd take the effort.
There are so many things to consider now... packing, racking up mileage, my cell phone (which by the way will temporarily be disconnected for those of you accustomed to calling) and making sure I don't go over the now-reduced minutes available, making sure my dog has a home for a month, cleaning, did I mention packing? That's the part that I hate. Who knows what kind of weather to expect in another country? And not only that, but for a whole month? And truthfully, giving me a therometer reading doesn't mean a whole lot. Just tell me: Is it going to be hot or cold? And if it's going to be cold, then I have to think thermal... More stuff to pack!
Christmas... I have spread a bit of yule-tide cheer... For some, it didn't include $$ (in the case of the loans that won't be funded before the end of the year!). For some it involved a small gift... For others it involved a card. And yet for others, there's nada in the stocking! I'm just worn out. Sorry. =)
And, there's nothing like being hung up on by someone you care about... So, that started my day off on the wrong note. This person feels that everything ought to end and begin with her and if you don't have the news she antipates, then, well, PSHA!!! So, whatever... No desire to see that my concern for her was real, I just didn't have the news she wanted to hear. Hurtful, you know?
Anyway, so there's a lot to do and a lot to think about. God is still doing something amazing in my life, even if things are difficult. I'm just cranky. Still trying to catch up on sleep...
Anyway, like I said, this will be the last time I check in before I head out. Take care all!
