Tired!

Only a few more weeks left. Appraisal training will be over after the first week of May. In this, I’ve learned so much! Class assignments are also mostly over after the first day of May (although there will be on-going reading until the end of the semester). And, while I’m trying to get these two hurdles under wraps, Will’s very busy with the house. He finished tiling the kitchen countertop and he’s working very hard on the floor (and the dining room too). I’m also trying to help him set up appointments with plumbers and repairing the truck… You get the picture.

Some of the other exciting events that have happened:
- Smelled fire near our house last night when I was walking the dog.
- Noticed an electric pole leaning TOWARD a house in our complex (notified management about both).
- Spent Easter-eve with the men and women of skid row. Very cool time!
- Had a pretty serious talk with management recently about my role in the under-staffed department & the high learning curve.
- Determined I need to have a serious talk with one person I’ve been working with for the last few months.
- I’m also dealing with some grief. I have a friend who I care for deeply – Christian - who’s choosing to rebel & ignore counsel on things that are very clearly wrong. Our culture encourages individualism and running your own show. When there’s someone who’s pointing out an area of weakness or wrong living, yeah, it hurts, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore it (she's not returning my calls). I know how it feels... In the conversation I had with management (mentioned above), I’ve really wrestled with my VP’s comments toward me. Is he right? If so, how can I better behave? And how can I serve the Lord in this? If you would be so kind to pray for my friend – God knows the circumstances and He desires her fellowship.
