Catching up…

I got a promotion today. I’m now known as a Loan Support Specialist and leaving my Loan Processing days behind. I’m pleased with the change. It means that I learn a whole new side of real estate – appraisal. The bummer is that it’s specialized (as the title suggests) to churches & some single-family residences. I keep hearing that there are many differences between an appraisal on churches verses commercial use. It was interesting to see the response of those that I asked about the position. They were very excited! Although it could be argued that it’s because there’s such a great need.... Over the last several months, many have quit (to relocate their families or even to go on missions) and we've been short-handed.

Things have been pretty much the same other than that lately. We accomplished a lot at the Rialto house this last weekend… I’m trying to stay focused on my homework through the week and make time available on the weekend to work at Rialto.

I’m also back to training again. I’m not planning on doing a marathon anytime soon as it requires too much time, but I’m trying to do 3-4 miles per week, which is truly manageable. One of the people I train with is working on completing triathlons and that sounds do-able... someday. =)

My class is interesting again! We’re talking about homosexuals and women in ministry. And it’s likely to get more exciting yet!
