Almost there...
This week will for sure be busy!
I have one class left and a BIG project (the one I have been stalling on) due on Monday. It will be nice to have it done! My goal is to print & finish it well before Monday, actually, on Thursday night. Will & I will be traveling on Friday afternoon to go to Phoenix for a friend’s wedding. It’s hilarious because I left one of the church groups a little over a year ago, and things have really changed for many of us. There are new babies (one more on the way!) and 2 weddings (not including ours)! I have a lot of news too, but it’s apparent that A LOT can happen in a year!!
We’re still painting… Over the weekend, before the birthday part began, Will & I primed the wall for the primer (pun). Last night, after I got out of class and was heading toward the track, Will was applying the first layer of primer. This will be interesting since the old color was green, it took a lot of primer to cover up the color in the front. But, this side is more complicated because (before he moved in) it was covered by some sort of vine which has made imprints and what appear to be deposits on the wall. Naturally, the goal is to make it as flush as possible so that the paint goes on without glitches, so we’ve scrubbed & scrubbed. We’re both curious to see how much primer will be required.
Will’s birthday was good. It was celebrated by his mom & I when we each gave him a card, and Will & I went to the movies. We saw “Stick It” and we both enjoyed it. He’s a former gymnast so things like this really excite him anyway, but we were concerned that there wasn’t going to be much of a plot. Well, there wasn’t, but it was fun. =) Then on Mother’s Day, we celebrated his and his niece’s birthday as a family. It was nice!
Still no for-sure plans on the wedding front. We have an appointment on Thursday (I might end up going alone) to check out a place if selected would mean that Sunday is the day… The two people we’ve already booked have agreed to the switch… Will also had a great idea about using his church, although because of our strange church situation (when we’re in town, we really like to go to his church, but our primary church is in Mission Viejo and meeting in a garage…) nobody really seems to be inclined to let us use their facilities. I work for a Christian credit union, I am a Biola alum and Talbot student… You don’t need to worry about our Christian affiliation people! The other annoying part is that nobody really likes to approve anybody else’s pre-martial counseling program (we’ve already started). Seriously! I don’t like this snobbishness of it all! But, anyway…
Speaking of Christian, we’re meeting with the Mormon missionaries today and I’m afraid I haven’t invested the time into prepping for the appointment. If any of y’all are reading this, please pray. =)
I’ll probably be able to check in again next week. Ttfn…
