OUCH!

So, I got to experience at little operation called an "extraction". Doesn't that word sound just terrible?? I had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday after work, and today, I'm home, feeling a little numb, swollen and sore... I can't remember how many teeth they said they'd take out, but it sure feels different in there! Will was so great to take me to and from the appointment. They put me out, so when I woke up they said I almost hyper-ventilated. He was standing next to me and holding my hand, helping me get into the car. He even did something he hates to do: cook in someone else's kitchen! What an awesome man!! I'm so blessed! I do have one question for the doctor: How exactly do you want me to avoid sucking? Let's be honest, how do you drink without sucking?? And, my bottom lip is swollen & even looks to be infected. I'd like to know how that happened.... The best part about this is that I won't ever have to do it again! =)

The house is pretty quiet and I should probably be doing homework seeing as how the semester is going to disappear right before my very eyes. I have a big paper due the last week... Also, I have a friend getting married in Phoenix that weekend and I need to be really proactive to do both without freaking out!!! So, motivation, please come!

On the wedding front, we're having fun exploring possibilities about where to get married. I really love having options, but sometimes, it's not a good thing. The resolution seems so far away while you're weeding through the many possibilities.... One exciting thing is that I bought my dress. One of my friends from Israel went down to give me the "thumbs up/down" on it. I couldn't get it out of my mind. It was one of the first dresses I tried on and it felt right. Anyway, so there are a few other things to determine now..... I always thought wedding planning had to be so much easier than everyone made it out to sound. I can see how things can become crazy.... And, especially when I consider how friends and family are coming in from out of town... There are a lot of things to consider!!

There are still no leads on Corky. My checks are being written again.... I'm also still trying to round up officers to help me. The great thing is that instead of having to visit some of the jurisdictions, a Sergeant is giving me permission to make a report in Fullerton that other jurisdictions will receive. That way, I only have to make one stop, not 3 in different cities.... I think it's interesting to hear different officers throw their weight around. "You tell him that Sergeant X told you that you could do this..." Or, what's particularly fun is when they refer to another department to answer a question, and the 1) the service/product doesn't exist or 2) you get pushed off and into a complete loop, talking to the original officer all over again. To me, and probably the average civilian, the titles don't mean much. I wanted to understand this better and found this on the web, for those of you interested.... Another key part of the adventure is that the Deputy (from what I found on the web, a Deputy would be near or on the same level of an Officer) who is left to handle my situation is brand new.... So, I've been through the loop a few times now. FUN!

Anyway, I thought I'd touch base in my boredom, if nothing else just to say HELLO!

Thanks for checking in! =)
