MORE FUN!
So, two weekends ago, I ran three miles in 35 minutes 37 seconds, I was 4th place in my age group and felt pretty good since I had completed the race in just about the same time as I did before (without the training). I need to get my weekly miles in! It’s always on my goals for the week, but it’s not always a reality…. Will on the other hand placed 1st in his age group and even won a couple of tickets to a baseball game! Very cool!
And, of course, we signed the documents to purchase the Pomona house. We had a great time talking to the lady who was helping us complete the paperwork too. It’s funny because somehow putting money down and signing my name to a whole host of documents, from a distance, seems to indicate a change in feeling or something, but I don’t feel any differently. And then again, perhaps that’s just because I haven’t actually SEEN what we’re buying yet. Will told our helper, “It’ll hit her when we leave.” Later that night, we were discussing several things, and suddenly I blurted out, “Will! We’re home owners!” He smiled.
Then, this last weekend, my aunt, stepmother, cousin & I went down to the Fabric District in LA and we spent most of the time shopping for wedding stuff (although my aunt & cousin were also shopping for their trip to Europe). I got some of the essentials on my list (veil, petticoat, 2 flower girl dresses [Olga doesn’t have to make them now], and some shoes) and I was very pleased because I didn’t feel like I spent too much.
We’re closer on the bridesmaid dresses. I decided on a style and I need all the ladies to go down and try on a dress in the designer’s line so that I can order the dresses online. We’re getting a great price and that makes me (and I’m sure the ladies) very happy! I’m feeling a little nervous about this because the longer it takes them to respond, the more we’ll have to consider additional postage…
Last night, Will, me and Jeff went down to downtown Fullerton and took engagement photos. It was a blast! =) Jeff graciously bought us coffee, we chatted and then started shooting… We concluded our time together with dinner & then separated. Jeff had a very long drive ahead of him! THANKS JEFF!! Will & I went to see Cars. It was a little more meaty then I thought it would be and it was definitely a “feel good movie”.
