TGIF!

The weekend is here! And it’s payday! All the more reason to smile! =)

I’m still working through the credit scenario. One thing I thought I should have added to the blog complaint was that the bank told me they wouldn’t use my physical address for any mailing... The frustration (and time consuming part of this whole matter) is that whenever you dial any of the numbers for the credit bureaus, you end up in a machine loop and there’s no way out! I finally did get a person this morning, but she kept giving me generic answers … To her credit, she was part of the Equifax identity theft prevention people, not in the loop to advise on the particulars of credit freeze. She did advise that I contact the security freeze department and then gave me an invalid telephone number… UGH!!

We met with the Finley’s to do marriage counseling last night and it was, as usual, a lot of fun! Will and I have been having trouble getting through all the homework (it’s so dense), but to our surprise, Dr. Finley pointed out that we’ve indirectly done some of chapters we missed! They were also getting rid of some furniture and we are now the proud owners of two bookshelves and a desk chair.

We’re also going down this weekend to put money down on our new home! They’re still building, so we have a lot of time until we’ll actually move in… The funny thing was I had just finished reading the contracts (CC&Rs, Purchase Agreement & Contractors Agreement – it’s helpful when you work in the field somewhat) and Will called to say they want us to come visit. Our phase was supposed to be released last month….

Speaking of home-buying, I’m going to a seminar this weekend offered by the city of Pomona. And then we’re partying hardy. We’re going to an Israel reunion on Saturday, and Sunday begins with a 5k race, church, contract signing & then Will’s brother’s surprise b-day party….

It’s a good thing work has been slow. It’s the only time I’ve really had to plan our wedding!
