"You're gonna need...."

Good afternoon everybody! (hopefully, I do have an audience, if not, well, whatever...)

I went running with a group called Snail's Pace today down in Anaheim Hills. They have all run marathons before and like me, are planning on running the Chicago in October. It was a different circle than most I have been a part of (well, I guess with the exception of the 6-week hiking program in Austria). I met one guy who shyly boasted that he just finished his 101 marathon! He's gotta be near 80 and rumor had it that he started running at 52! Crazy!!! And they must have seen me coming.... I wore cotton. For you aspiring runners/exercise enthusiasts, this is a big no-no! So, I have to go shopping soon... One guy said, as an aside, "You picked an expensive sport." Yippee!

But the other interesting thing about this group is that they not only run together, but they read together (I guess they just can't get enough of each other). They have a book club and meet every Tuesday (the day off the running program). I guess the current book is To Kill a Mockingbird. I wonder if they would like to read things about Joseph Smith Jr. or perhaps Charles Taze Russell and their successors. That would be an interesting discussion topic, I think anyway...

Speaking of running, I have two birthday parties to attend this evening. Remember that part about shopping? Well, yeah, I better get to it!
